WHO DEY!!!
Lurker/reader Brandon here from Arlington, VA.  All the Steelers fans at work today were saying the Colts will win and the Squealers will go to the playoffs.  Don't think so on either count.

Ugh
9:01- not a good start for the Bengals.  First we get hosed by the Colts' challenge of Chad Johnson's catch, then Palmer fumbles the ball and the Colts march downfield.  Nice job by the defense holding them to a field goal.

Argh!
9:13- The Bengals march down the field to about the 10 yard line and get shut out of the end zone.  Shayne Graham drills the token field goal Bengals 3, Colts 3

The good news is that Rudi is already over 25 yards rushing, so it looks good for him to have a 100 yard game.  The Bengals are running a ton of draw plays then burning the Colts with the pass.  If they keep this up they'll win.

Damn
Would it kill the Bengals to keep a linebacker back to stop these short passes over the middle?  The Colts are marching down the field with one seven yard pass after the next.

W00t!
The Colts marched downfield and threw a TD pass to Harrison.  Colts lead 10-7.

After a 3 and out, the Bengals punt only to recover on the Colts' 25 after a big muff by the return man.

RumblinBumblinStumblin!
9:38: Rudi Johnson takes the handoff on a draw play from the 18 or so and runs virtually untouched into the end zone.  Bengals tie it up, 10-10!

Rudi has over 60 yards so far and it's not even halftime.  It's worth mentioning that the muffed punt that set up this TD was the first punt of the game.  This is shaping up to be a repeat of last year.

WTF?
The Bengals are getting picked apart by these short passes.  Pathetic.  The Colts have so little respect for the Bengals linebackers that Peyton Manning is picking up rushing yards out of the pocket.

He's 15/17 for 115 yards in passes under 10 yards.

Make that 16/17: Manning tosses another TD to Harrison.  Colts 17, Bengals 10.

The Bengals have yet to force a punt.  I'm pissed.

Brandon may be a homer
But I have no dog in this fight.  I need Marvin Harrison to score me 14 fantasy points.  Beyond that, go Bengals.

2nd Half
The Bengals need to stop the short passes.  Make Manning throw deep and trust the past rush and the ability of the corners and safeties to do their jobs.

The Bengals also need to keep running the football.  The Colts can't stop Rudi...

YES!
Manning tells Dungy to go for it on 4th and 1 and the Bengals defense stuffs 'em.

There is hope!

Crap
10:23- The Bengals make the Colts pay for their stupid 4th and 1 gamble...kind of.

Shayne Graham nails a 30-yarder and it's Colts 17, Bengals 14.

I'm having an anyeurism...
10:34- Marvin Harrison just caught his 3rd TD pass...Colts 24, Bengals 13.

The Bengals defense is worthless.  This team will not win a championship until we address this problem.

Chuck Bresnahan is teh suck
The Bengals defense can't stop shit.  It's Colts 31, Bengals 16 at the start of the 4th quarter.

Finally, a punt
With 12 minutes left in the game, the Colts are punting for the first time...miserable.

WHAT
the hell, was that? I think Chris Henry should be cut. And because of his on-field (lack-of) performances.

Trade yah
We'll take Chris Henry if you take Cato June. :)

Good blogging tonight Kirkendall.
