CINCINNATI BENGALS

  • Bengals head coach, Marvin Lewis, is 5-3 against the Ravens. Served as Ravens defensive coordinator against the Ravens from 1996-2001.
  • Carson Palmer became first Bengal to win Pro Bowl MVP honors. Palmer set the franchise record with 4,035 yards passing -- Boomer Esiason, 3,959 yards passing. For his career, Palmer has 932 completions on 1,461 attempts for 10,768 yards passing and 78 touchdowns -- a 91.5 passer rating. Palmer is 2-1 on during kickoff weekend games.
  • Rudi Johnson has scored one rushing touchdown in three consecutive kickoff weekend games.
  • With 65 receptions, Chad Johnson will surpass Carl Pickens (530) for all-time receptions leader. With 177 yards receiving, Johnson becomes the franchise all-time receiving yards leader -- Isaac Curtis, 7,101 yards receiving.
  • T.J. Houshmandzadeh set career highs in receptions (90), yards receiving (1,081) and touchdowns (9) last season.
  • Robert Geathers recorded 10.5 sacks last season with 17 career sacks.

BALTIMORE RAVENS

  • When the Ravens offense had time of possession edge in the fourth quarter, the team went 13-1.
  • Steve McNair started all 16 games for the first time since 2002. McNair set the franchise record completing 63% of his passes. McNair has 21 career touchdowns against Cincinnati, which is tied for 1st among all opponents -- Pittsburgh, 21.
  • Willie McGahee has started 40 of 46 games recording 3,365 yards rushing on 868 attempts and 24 touchdowns. In his career, McGahee has 68 receptions for 503 yards receiving.
  • Leading all Baltimore receivers, Derrick Mason caught 45 1st-down receptions.
  • Todd Heap is the franchise leader for career receptions (316), yards receiving (3,658) and touchdowns (26).
  • When scoring a defensive touchdown, the Ravens are 28-4.
  • In 2006, Chris McAlister led the team with six interceptions earning his third Pro Bowl appearance.
  • Since 2002, Ed Reed has 27 interceptions in 74 games.
