If Chad Johnson gets traded, it would mean a reported $8.03 million hit
I learned one thing this week. It's that no one truly understands NFL capology nor is there a true understanding of why a number exists.
For example, Mark Curnutte, on his blog, said that trading the receiver would account for an $8.8 million cap hit.
Geoff Hobson claims the Bengals would have a $6-7 million hit.
Curnutte amended his $8.8 million to $8.03 million. To me, the 8.03 number is the right number. Why? Well, anytime you start including numbers into the tenths, then you're a hellva lot closer than any estimation.

If the policy is...
There's Deltha O'Neal, who blows off voluntaries, bitches about his contract, and has flat-out asked to be traded or cut.
There's Chris Henry. We all know the issues there. Ditto Odell.
How about Levi "I didn't sign a big contract to be a backup and the trainers screwed up my rehab" Jones? Or fellow med-staff-complainer Chris Perry?
Looks like Justin "our stunts never work" Smith is already gone.
What about Rudi, who was clearly sulking last season?
And then of course there's our QB, who finished the season by attacking the coaching staff and saying the team couldn't win with its current coaches?

Cuts
I don't mind Deltha because he only has one year left and it would be a pain to get a third corner. He's fine in the nickel and he's in a contract year so that should motivate him once the season starts.
