Pollack has Halo removed

Muddled with Reggie McNeal's goal to match Michael Irvin's resume, David Pollack finally had his Halo removed Thursday.

"The doctor said the fracture was healed, but the disc space wasn't what he liked it to be, so he wants to get an MRI and see how it looks," Pollack said from his suburban Cincinnati home.

If Pollack has to have surgery, his football career will be over. Even if he doesn't need surgery, his football future is still in jeopardy. It's something he's been coming to grips with all along, saying if doctors tell him he'll risk re-injury and perhaps paralysis by playing again, he won't.
