The Miami Herald reports that "The Dolphins, absent from prime-time games last season, will kick off the 2006 regular season with a Thursday night game against the defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers, according to an NFL source.".
Kudos to the NFL marketing guys. Obviously, a running Bengals-Steelers storyline with some bad blood isn't enough. It's not enough to hammer home Bill Cowher shouting "we-dey" on ESPN the week(s) leading up to the game and it's not like we had a playoff game in the Wild Card round with drama.
