It's official: Thurman Suspended

From Bengals.com

In the worst kept secret since the identity of a certain CIA agent, the NFL has officially suspended Bengals middle linebacker Odell Thurman for the first four games of the season because of what is believed to be a violation of the league's substance abuse policy.

Head coach Marvin Lewis made the announcement Wednesday at Paul Brown Stadium before the team's annual training camp media luncheon, confirming published reports of July 13 and ending months of speculation.

Saying, "I'm very disappointed," in Thurman, Lewis indicated that he is expected when training camp opens Saturday night at Georgetown College and he's expected play in the four preseason games, although Lewis said he'll make that call later, as well as if he'll activate him when he's eligible Oct. 2.
