I wonder...

...how Kansas City fans reacted after discovering Carson Palmer will start regular season game #1! I'm sure what they saw against the Green Bay Packer-Ins was like seeing Jason Vorhees raising from the dead -- again! Predicted to be one of the best offenses in the AFC, Kansas City has managed only 30 points -- Bengals scored 34 in the first half last night...

...if this trend of scoring will continue into the regular season. The Bengals have scored 111 points in three games (37 points per). New England is second with 94 points and Oakland rounds out the top-three with 76...

...if anyone really cares about the Terrell Owens vs. Bill Parcells feud other than ESPN. Reminds me of 6pm SportsCenters that spend 45 minutes setting up a Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees showdown -- something else that I don't care about...

...if anyone noticed Tom Jackson's style on Monday Night countdown. Mr. Jackson, a Cincinnati resident and regular interviewer of Bengal players, wore a bright orange shirt and tie over a black suit. Very nice style Tom...

...if the ESPN guys made a good point. The coaching staff in Green Bay is new, with a new system, making us wonder if it wasn't a good idea for Favre to retire after 2005. Don't get me wrong. I think of it as a privilege to see such a great QB to play in this league and will be remembered as one of the best QBs of all time. Wouldn't now have been a good time? Then you look at the hall of fame backup Rodgers numbers: 2-6 for 7 yards....

...if the five career passing records that Brett Favre could break included passing yards, was a "blonde" moment by ESPN. It said, with Tirico blabbering in the background, that if Favre throws 7,746 passing yards THIS YEAR he would tie Dan Marino's all-time record. There was no mention of the 2,662 yards Favre would need AFTER breaking the record for most passing yards in a season to actually get there...

...if the Bengals combined 124.0 quarterback rating is a reflection of a horrible Packers pass defense. Carson Palmer (136.9), Anthony Wright (101.0) and Doug Johnson (108.3) each had a passer rating above 100+...

...if Mike Tirico's stories in "ESPN: The Uncensored History" is true. I was looking up something completely unrelated when I stumbled on this:

The first Tirico story involves him hitting on a woman and stalking her after a house party in fall 1992. The woman was a production assistant and "considered an up-and-coming talent," and Tirico went up to her at the party and said "you're the most beautiful woman in here." She walked away, but he kept following her around the party until she finally snapped, "Why don't you fuck off? Get away from me." As she and friends hopped in their car and pulled out of the party, Tirico stepped in front of the car and made the woman stop. "You're the most beautiful person I've ever seen and I think I'm in love with you," Tirico said. She tried to roll up her window and take off, but Tirico stuck his hand in and tried to wedge it between her thighs. She got away, and the next morning, when they saw each other in the ESPN parking lot, he walked up to her, and she expected him to apologize. Instead, he said, "all I did all day was think about you."

...Tirico was promoted by becoming the Monday Night play-by-play guy while Harold Reynolds is still searching for employment...

What do you guys wonder?
