Monday morning hang-over

I won't lie, I woke up with a grin on my face and a spring in my step. It's not because I got sleep; I had a big jug of Mountain Dew late and ended up reading the 20th century history of Algeria. Knowing I'm a Cincinnatian with Buckeye roots, this weekend in football concluded perfectly. The Bengals, with Carson Palmer knocked off (and out) the Chiefs. The Ohio State Buckeyes made a lot of football "experts" look foolish picking Texas to win Saturday night.

The main draw out of Sunday's game will be the hit on Trent Green. Paul Daugherty correctly concludes the hit really took away the focus Cincinnat's defense should have had containing an offense that was thought to be pretty good.
