The NFL released their week 1 FedEx Week one nominations:

FedEx Express NFL Player of the Week finalists

  • Donovan McNabb: 24/35 314 yards, 3TDs, 113.3 passer rating
  • Chad Pennington: 24/33, 319 yards, 2TDs, 123.2 passer rating
  • Kurt Warner 23/37, 301 yards, 3 TDs
FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week finalists
  • Warrick Dunn: 29-132 yards
  • Steven Jackson: 22-121 yards
  • LaDainian Tomlinson: 31-131 yards, TD
Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week Honors
  • Mike Bell (RB): 10-58 yards, TD
  • Reggie Bush (RB/WR/PR): 141 all-purpose yards
  • Cortland Finnegan (DB): 5 tackles, sack and forced fumble.
  • Ryan Plackemeier (P): 5 punts averaging 52.6 yards
  • DeMeco Ryans (LB): 12 solo tackles (13 total).
