Lonnie Wheeler published an op-ed piece about the Bengals front office asking, "is this too much for Marvin Lewis?" Since being hired, Lewis has been the face of the franchise. He's also been given some breathing space to draft and sign the guys he wants -- although it still must be approved through Mike Brown.
I have to admit, I couldn't figure out if the general theme was for the team to provide another face at the podium and remove Lewis as the voice and face of the franchise. Or to simply relieve Lewis of his many duties.
