Wednesday's Injury Report -- Ravens week.

Ahmad Brooks is now packing his bags for the season. The team put the middle linebacker on IR who's scheduled to have surgery next week. Why do they wait so long to put a guy on IR like Brooks? I don't know. But the same question was asked about Chris Perry -- whom publicly expressed frustration with the Bengals medical staff diagnosing his injury incorrectly. And some of you might remember when Peter Warrick's status was a mystery that even the Hardy Boys couldn't solve in 2004 when he played sparingly.

Lewis finds a bright spot in Brooks' near full-season absence.

"In some ways, maybe, this is a good thing that he's had to learn and go about this the right way," Lewis said. "He's had to attend meetings and learn, and learn how to be a professional because he's a young kid (23). ... It allows him to grow up and become the man and the player that he'll be. He made a lot of strides."
