The Miami Herald reports Bengals receiver Chad Johnson was questioned this week by detectives as part of a homicide investigation.
Police are looking into the shooting death of Curtis Dopson, 27, in Miami last Friday, the paper reported.
Johnson spoke with detectives Monday night, without an attorney. It is not clear what connection Johnson has to the case. The Miami Herald reports Dopson's family says he was acquainted with Johnson.
The article suggests the only reason police spoke to Johnson was to learn more about the victim.
"In any investigation of this magnitude, you have to talk to everybody, no matter how seemingly insignificant they may or may not be," Miami Detective Delrish Moss told the paper.
