Thruman admits to DUI. Gets 90 days suspended sentence

Actual news about Thurman's where-abouts is minimal -- at best. On Wednesday, Thurman, in Hamilton County Municipal Court, admitted "he was drunk and driving early the morning of Sept. 25 when he was stopped at a DUI checkpoint on Kellogg Avenue in Cincinnati." However, his 90-day sentence could be reduced, pending no more arrests, until June because "Thurman is in alcohol treatment".

Thurman, 23, pleaded no contest to a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. A related DUI charge and a charge of driving on the wrong side of the road were dismissed in exchange for the plea.

Thurman told the judge he was an alcoholic and was trying to straighten out his life.

The NFL suspended Thurman for the season after the arrest because it was his third violation of the league's substance abuse policy.
