Through the first nine hours since the free agency gun went off, little has happened on the NFL front. Players re-signing with their old teams. Offers being announced but not signed. The Derek Anderson soap opera. Kris Jenkins traded from the Panthers to the Jets. Jonathan Vilma trading in his Jets uniform for a Saints uniform while Jeremy Shockey could be Vilma's teammate.
I don't think anyone here believed the Bengals would be free agency players Friday. Perhaps later when the second-tier, less costly depth guys gain focus. Anything that brings up the Bengals, it's only because Justin Smith, Landon Johnson and Madieu Williams used to play in Cincinnati.
Speaking of Justin Smith, he's visiting Minnesota and San Francisco Friday. Speaking of the Vikings, they are making a strong push for Madieu Williams.
