Deadline for a Stacy Andrews long-term deal approaching...

I'm sure if you read the other sites, then you're aware that today is the deadline for Franchise players to sign long-term deals until after the season. Though we're not exactly sure the purpose of the deadline, and it's not like other players don't negotiate and sign long-term deals in the middle of the seasons. But, it's the NFL and they "know what they're doing."

Stacy Andrews' $7.455 million one-year contract will apply against the cap until after the season if a long-term deal isn't worked out. It would be nice if the team got Andrews locked up turning him into the team's future leader of the offensive line. But I just don't see the Bengals making the deadline by then.
