Bengals cut Blue Adams

The Bengals parted ways with Blue Adams, who, as Geoff Hobson writes, "didn't practice this spring with an undisclosed injury." Whether or not that's the reason for Adams' release, isn't known. The Bengals already figure to lower their personal-fouls per game average.

This drops the Bengals number of corner backs to six. With Leon Hall and Johnathan Joseph figuring as starters, Deltha O'Neal (JJ's backup/NB) and David Jones are the team's likely backup corners while Ethan Kilmer and Simeon Castille round out the position.

Adams was scheduled to earn $605,000 in base salary this season.

In other former Bengals with last name Adams news, the Patriots signed Titus Adams Thursday after the Bengals released him on July 7.
