I wrote a few weeks ago that if the Bengals beat the Steelers at home, and then go on the road and beat the Browns and, maybe, the Ravens, that the Bengals will sellout the remainder of their 2009 schedule at Paul Brown Stadium. I didn't think beating the Ravens would be required for the sellout because now the Bengals are facing Baltimore for the league lead in the AFC North. In other words, people could be starting to buy into the 2009 Cincinnati Bengals.
The game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, largely a sellout because people believed that mostly Steelers fans filled the place, was the only game sold out up to this point. Marvin Lewis said during Monday's press conference that the team's third game has sold out against the Chicago Bears on October 25. The October 18 contest hosting the Houston Texans still has tickets remaining.
