Bernard Scott nominated for Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week

For the second time in as many weeks, Bengals rookie running back Bernard Scott is one of five finalists for the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week. Last week he was nominated for his 260 yards total effort (kickoff returns, rushing and receiving), which was capped by a 96-yard touchdown return that proved to be the only touchdown during the Bengals 18-12 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Scott was also named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week last week.

Against the Oakland Raiders, Scott recorded 166 total yards on offense and special teams, but no touchdowns.

Other nominations include:

  • Malcolm Jenkins - Seven tackles, interception
  • Matthew Stafford - 422 yards passing and five touchdown passes
  • Beanie Wells - 14 rushes for 74 yards and a touchdown
  • Mohamed Massaquoi - Five receptions, 115 yards and a touchdown

You guys know how this works. It's a fan vote. It's already started and lasts until noon on Friday. So vote often for Scott.
