Second Half Open Thread: Cincinnati Bengals at San Diego Chargers

Carson Palmer is back. And so is the offense's inability to score touchdowns in the redzone. The offense is solid today, scoring on three of their four offensive possessions -- all three have gone over 50 yards with at least eight plays. Chad Ochocinco caught a 49-yard touchdown to give the Bengals a 10-7 lead before San Diego's Vincent Jackson made a nice double move on Leon Hall to catch a 21-yard touchdown pass to give the Chargers a 14-10 lead. The Bengals threatened at the end of the first half with an 11-play drive that went 75 yards, but couldn't score a touchdown -- aka, they reached the end zone. Instead, a field goal reduces the Chargers lead to 14-13. The Bengals get the ball back in the second half.

Game plan thought of the second half. Don't get in the red zone.

Defensively, the Bengals are playing a strong game against one of the league's better passing offenses. Johnathan Joseph picked off his sixth pass of the year in the first half and the Bengals have largely put good pressure on Rivers.

Palmer: 12/19, 189 yards passing, TD
Benson: 7 rushes, 23 yards rushing
Larry Johnson: 4 rushes, 35 yards rushing
Chad Ochocinco: 3 receptions, 79 yards receiving, TD
