Cedric Benson: "The business side here might be better than the business side in Cincinnati."

As soon as Cedric Benson walked off the plane at the Hobby Airport, he was quickly quoted as saying:

“I like being in Texas and Houston’s close to home,” Benson said after arriving at Hobby Airport. “I think the possibility is good (about signing with the Texans), but there’s always a business side to everything.”

Where the confusion sets in, is likely to confuse you too. Benson would be a backup running back at Houston, a feature back with Cincinnati. When throwing out "always a business side to everything" he wasn't making the same meaning as one would think.

“The business side here might be better than the business side in Cincinnati,” Benson said about contract negotiations.

From that perspective, it doesn't give me a good feeling he'll be back in Cincinnati. Ironically, yet somehow expectedly, the Bengals could be without Benson and Derrick Ward. We have this urge to go into one of our Mike Brown rants/diatribes.
