With Cedric Benson, Chris Perry, Kenny Watson, DeDe Dorsey and James Johnson on the team's roster of running backs, it seems very likely that the Bengals will look to use one of their 11 draft picks on a running back -- possibly as high as the third round.
Maybe even in the first round (I just puked in my mouth).
PFT writes, per a league source, that Beanie Wells is planning to visit the Cincinnati Bengals -- along with the Arizona Cardinals, Denver Broncos, San Diego Chargers and Seattle Seahawks.
I love The Ohio State Buckeyes. However, in order to pick up Wells, one has to figure that he'll be drafted in the first round. Therefore, if the Bengals were serious about drafting Wells, it would have to be in the first round. And to be honest, all of my glorious Buckeye love aside, I hope the Bengals don't draft him.
Over a week ago, a report came out that Wells was high on the team's list of impact players, ranking him high on the draft board.
