Carson Palmer and Chris Crocker to go under the knife

After Saturday's 24-14 loss to the New York Jets, Carson Palmer confirmed that he would have surgery this offseason to repair his left thumb. The injury, earlier in the year, forced Palmer into awkward handoffs that surprisingly didn't lead to a fumble at all. His surgery will be in "the next couple of days."

Geoff Hobson writes that safety Chris Crocker will join Palmer "for some minor surgery" on his ankle. Both players, Hobson writes, "should be ready when the team reconvenes March 29 for offseason workouts".
