Bengals express interest in FB Naufahu Tahi... again

Around this time last year, the Bengals inquired about Vikings FB Naufahu Tahi. Well, apparently they're at it again. Last year, the Bengals signed Tahi to a $1.4M offer sheet that the Vikings matched. This year, it'll take at least $1.2M, says the Star Tribune.

Tahi once again is a restricted free agent, and this time he was given the tender of right of first refusal by the Vikings, meaning the team has the right to match any offer he receives but won't get compensation if they fail to do so.

People with knowledge of the situation say the Bengals again have inquired about Tahi. The tender the Vikings gave Tahi this time calls for him to make $1.2 million in 2010.

Tahi is obviously a solid blocker, and is very inactive in the running game. He caught 10 passes last year for 67 yards and one touchdown. Tahi received the lowest RFA tender this year, meaning that if the Vikings don't match, the Bengals don't have to give up a draft pick.
