All good things come to an end. One of those good things happened during the team's Wildcard loss a couple of months ago against the New York Jets. Bernard Scott returned the game's opening kickoff to the New York Jets 36-yard line and at some point during that 56-yard return by Scott, Rashad Jeanty suffered a fractured fibula.
During an interview with Fox' Alex Marvez Sunday afternoon, Jeanty said that he was currently in a walking boot and should be ready by minicamps.
In a Sunday interview with me and co-host Jim Miller on Sirius NFL Radio, Jeanty said he didn’t need surgery to repair the injury and is already in a walking boot. Jeanty said he will be ready for upcoming minicamps.
Jeanty was offered a low tender that wouldn't give the Bengals compensation if another team signs him away and the Bengals elect not to match. Though you can be pretty confident that if the linebacker is in a walking boot and is electing to heal on his own, other teams would rather look to free agency and the draft to update their linebacker roster.
