With the twenty-seventh pick in the 2010 Cincy Jungle Mock Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select...

Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State

Jerry Jones loves star quality and firepower. He is one of the few owners who rivals Mike Brown for giving extra chances to troubled players. So no matter what red flags other people see in Dez Bryant, Jerry just sees a play-making WR who can help him. Jerry was also recently caught on camera describing Bill Parcells in an extremely unflattering way. I think he was getting Bill and Roy Williams mixed up. Because Roy Williams is the absolute definition of bust at this point. He makes Chad's 2008 season almost look like a highlight reel from Jerry Rice, he's that horrid. Then you also have to remember that Miles Austin, the sole real bright spot in the receiver corp, is currently unsigned as an RFA. While nobody was even remotely interested in giving up a first and a third to steal him away, there's also no guarantee he'll play next year at all, although the fact that he has joined the offseason workouts is a good sign. But even if he does eventually sign his tender he may well hold out during training camp trying to get a long-term deal with some resemblance to his true value.

Other than an OL, which they admittedly do desperately need to improve as well, there is no way the Cowboys do not select Dez Bryant with this pick. This gives Romo the ability to stretch the field again, which will open up the running game as well. Baggage or not Dez Bryant WILL be the pick at this time.
