In early August, Cleveland Browns cornerback Brandon McDonald ripped into Bengals wide receiver Terrell Owens, tweeting to the world:
"Bengals huh???" McDonald wrote. "Yessss, another piece of p**** fa da Browns secondary to [slang for gang rape using the word train.] . . . NoHomo . . . Let's Goooo!!!! ITS TRU."
"Who?" before adding "I don't even know who he is. Is he Ronald McDonald?"
"I really don't care if he has something to say," said Owens, who will face McDonald in Cleveland in Week 4 of the regular season. "Obviously, you have to back it up. I'm not afraid of competition, a challenge or whatever. We play the Browns so he'll see us ... I'm not worried about it."
Nor should he be. McDonald was cut by the Cleveland Browns Saturday night, unlikely helping whatever confidence he had. We'll file this under the heading of funny irony, putting us on course to track McDonald's because he's the guy that talked trash to a Bengals player and in less than a month, he's without a job. This is a lesson for every Cleveland Browns player. Don't rip the Bengals. Who Dey!
