Chad Ochocinco/Johnson Nominated For Cartoon Network's Hall Of Game Awards

On February 25, 2011, the Cartoon Network will air their first-ever Hall of Game Awards show at 7 p.m. Eastern. Hosted by Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk, these sports awards is a "high-energy, off-the-wall, multi-platform experience that lets viewers vote and honor their favorite sports stars and sports moments of the year."

Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco is nominated for the All-Pro Class Clown award, which is awarded to the funniest player or prankster. This is the same guy that made an appearance on Adult Swim's Squidbillies and even raced a horse just because he could. Other nominations including Dwight Howard, A.J. Burnett and Shaquille O'Neal. And yes, unless there's an "Addicted To Tweeting" award in the near-future, this award is probably the only award Chad will receive for some time now. Terrell Owens is also nominated for the Dance Machine Award (best celebratory dance). Other nominations include Jimmie Johnson, Venus Williams and the entire 2010 South African World Cup Soccer Team.

Voting continues in seven award categories on HallofGame.com and to date the site has already received over 15 million votes.  Voting categories and their respective nominees include:  “Most Awesome Mascot,” sponsored by Pepperidge Farm Goldfish crackers; “He’s Got Game;” “She Got Game;” “That’s How I Roll,” sponsored by Kids Foot Locker; “Alti-dude;” “Dance Machine;” and “My Bad.”  Just launched this week, fans can also now cast votes for their favorite athletes on the all-new Hall of Game App.  Free to download from the iTunes store, fans can also use the app to add their face to sports photos, customize pictures with Hall of Game graphics and share them with friends via Facebook and Twitter.
