Bengals To Conduct Search For An Offensive Coordinator

If the Bengals are going to promote Ken Zampese to offensive coordinator, it won't happen soon and not without some competition from outside of the organization.

In an article that officially announces Bratkowski's firing on the Mothership, Geoff Hobson writes that the "search for a replacement continues." Adam Schefter also tweets: "Search underway for successor."

Brad Childress is one, who enjoyed dinner with Marvin Lewis talking Xs and Os. Mike Brown said that Childress isn't coming to Cincinnati, but we had assumed that was because the team already had Bob Bratkowski. Jim Zorn was recently fired by the Baltimore Ravens as the team's quarterback coach at, what appears to be, a dispute from offensive coordinator Cam Cameron (more on that later).

Either way, if the team plans on eventually promoting Zampese, it will take some time while the Bengals check out their available options. We just hope that it's 100% Marvin Lewis' call on whom to hire.
