Bengals Quarterback Andy Dalton And Wide Receiver A.J. Green Nominated For Pepsi NFL Rookie Of The Week

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has been nominated for every Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week awards this year, finally winning his first last week. Bengals rookies A.J. Green (week four) and quarterback Andy Dalton (week two) have each received one nomination this year. And now all three have been nominated for the week five Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week along with Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin and San Francisco 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith.

Dalton posted 179 yards passing with two touchdowns, completing 63.6% of his passes in a 30-20 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Green caught five passes for 90 yards receiving and a touchdown in the same game. Baldwin caught eight passes for 136 yards receiving and the go-ahead touchdown in a 36-25 win over the New York Giants. Newton recorded 224 yards passing and three touchdowns (two passing, one rushing) in a 30-27 loss to the New Orleans Saints and Smith recorded two quarterback sacks.
