The Bengals defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars on their own turn by a score of 30-20 which included two touchdown passes from Andy Dalton, a touchdown run from Bernard Scott and a junk-time defensive touchdown from Geno Atkins.
The Bengals held Maurice Jones-Drew in check, for the most part, though they broke their four-game streak of not allowing a running back to average four yards per carry -- MJD averaged 4.5. Aside from the first drive of the game and a blown coverage play that resulted in a 74-yard touchdown pass from Blaine Gabbert to Jason Hill, the Bengals defense looked solid, especially when it came to shutting down the Jaguars in the red zone.
Joe Goodberry, Dave Wellman and I talked about all of these things during our post-game show. We picked our MVPs and Goats for the game and discussed the upcoming game against the Indianapolis Colts for a few moments.
Make sure you join us on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. ET for our weekly show in which we'll talk about the win over the Jaguars in greater detail as well as preview the upcoming game against the Colts.
