Just as the Bengals offense takes the field, the offense is coming back off. Following a minimal gain by Cedric Benson, Connor Barwin explodes off the edge, beating Andrew Whitworth and hitting Andy Dalton from behind. The football is jarred loose and the Texans recover at Cincinnati's 17-yard line.

Consecutive runs by Arian Foster, registering seven yards rushing later, quarterback T.J. Yates completes a strike to Joel Dreessen for a first down. On the following play Yates fakes the handoff and floats the football to Dreessen on a shallow crossing pattern (virtually uncovered), scoring a touchdown and reducing Cincinnati's advantage to six points.
