Wednesday Injury/Practice Report: Dunlap, Smith Return to Practice; Benson, Lawson, Clements Sit Out

Getty Images

For perhaps the first time in over a month, the Bengals have less names on their practice report than their upcoming opponent. Of course, this is the Wednesday practice report and we all know that the names on today's practice report aren't nearly as important as the ones on the practice report on Thursday and Friday.

For the Bengals, the big new, of course, is that defensive end Carlos Dunlap returned to practice for the first time in three weeks. He hasn't been healthy since injuring his hamstring in Tennessee in Week 9 and it's nice to see him on the field. Andre Smith, who missed last week's game with an ankle injury, also returned to practice on Wednesday. As for the players that didn't practice, Cedric Benson, Nate Clements, Chris Crocker and Manny Lawson are just some of the players that watched practice from the sidelines.

For the Rams, both quarterbacks Sam Bradford and and A.J. Feeley missed practice. Joining them were defensive ends James Hall and Chris Long as well as safety Craig Dahl.
