According to The Cincinnati Enquirer's Joe Reedy, the Cincinnati Bengals have placed cornerback John Bowie (not related to David Bowie, in case you were wondering) on the Practice Squad Injured List with a torn Achilles. They signed Bowie to the practice squad in mid-November in response to Brandon Ghee's promotion to the active roster after Leon Hall was placed on Injured Reserve.
Bowie isn't the only player to be on the team's Practice Squad Injured List. Linebacker DeQuin Evans was placed on the injured list around the same time that Bowie was signed to the team.
Bowie was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL draft. He played in a handful of games in '07, was placed on IR in '08 and was injured again in '09 before he was released by the Raiders. He played with the Browns in the 2010 preseason but was ultimately released. He played the 2010 season in the UFL.
