According to The Cincinnati Enquirer's Joe Reedy, Bengals rookie wide receiver A.J. Green did not practice with the team on Tuesday due to his sprained right shoulder suffered in the team's Week 15 game against the Rams in St. Louis. That's the bad news. The good news is that Green is feeling better and is confident that he will play on Saturday against the Arizona Cardinals.
"I’m doing good. It’s just a little sore but better than I thought. I’m moving my arm around and it isn’t in a sling," Green said.
Green is the team's leading receiver and is the first rookie receiver in the NFL to have more than 1,000 yards receiving since Marques Colston finished the 2006 season with 1,036 yards. Green is also only three yards away from breaking Cris Collinswoth's rookie record for single season receiving yards.
Green is one of the Bengals biggest offensive weapons and the team needs him on the field through the last couple games to put some points up on the board. They need to win both of their last two games in order to have a chance at heading to the playoffs.
