Bengals WR A.J. Green Leads League Plays Over 35 Yards

New, comments

Do you really need another reason why A.J. Green is awesome? Here ya go.

The Bengals rookie wide receiver leads the NFL in plays over 35 yards with 11. He has two more than Calvin Johnson, who has had an amazing season this year. It's also the most plays of over 35 yards by one player since Randy Moss had 14 in 1998 while playing for the Minnesota Vikings.

Green has been nothing short of electrifying this season and his ability to go up and grab whatever pass Dalton throws down the field to him has won more than one game so far this season. It's obvious that Green, paired with Dalton, will be one of the most exciting quarterback/wide receiver duos for the next few years and hopefully many more after that.

Green definitely deserves to be in the pro bowl and it was nice to see that he placed third among AFC wide receivers in the fan vote. The actual pro bowl rosters will be announced Tuesday night on NFL Network.

Until then, here's a nice little video for your viewing pleasure.
