This has nothing to do with the Bengals, but hearing this story on Mo Egger's show riding home Tuesday afternoon, I simply had to share it because I'm not sure if I should crack up laughing, or shake my "holier than thou" head.
Minnesota Vikings defensive End Everson Griffen was arrested for public drunkeness last Friday in Hollywood California. Two days later, Griffen was pulled over by police during a routine traffic stop.
Because he had an invalid license and fearing he would go back to jail, Griffen resisted arrest and took off running. All 273 pounds. Eventually cops caught up to Griffen, which comes the best part. When officers tried to subdue Griffen, he allegedly grabbed one of the officer's groin (or as I call it, "my buddy"). That promptly earned him a brief introduction with a taser. No word if he shouted, "Don't tase me bro." He was booked for "investigation of felony battery."
Griffen played 11 games in 2010, recording 11 tackles and no sacks. Check that. He got one!
