Steve Mariucci Mock Draft: Bengals Select A.J. Green

Another day, another mock draft. Today, the mock draft comes from NFL analyst Steve Mariucci. Mariucci predicts that the Panthers will use their No. 1 overall pick on Clemson defensive end Da'Quan Bowers and that Denver will then select North Carolina defensive end Robert Quinn with the second pick. Then, with the third pick, he predicts that the Buffalo Bills will decide that taking Auburn defensive lineman Nick Fairley would be a safer move than drafting Cam Newton or Blaine Gabbert.

Finally (I say finally like the Bengals aren't drafting in the top-five), we come to the Bengals. With the No. 4 overall pick, the Bengals select Georgia wide receiver A.J. Green.

"Cincinnati Bengals. I don't know how long T.O.'s going to be there or Chad Ochocinco. Is it a month, is it a year? But, you got A.J. Green right here from Georgia. We just talked about him. Give Jay Gruden a new toy, why don't ya? This guy can return punts, he's got some skills, he's going to be fun to watch. You said he may be like Randy Moss. This guy's going to be epic."

Mariucci then selected the first quarterback, Blaine Gabbert, to go to the Arizona Cardinals with the No. 5 overall pick.

While some think that flashy wide receivers are hood ornaments for a team, others believe that receivers like Green have the capability to be game changers. Of course, it's more important for the Bengals to figure out who will be throwing the ball before they decide who will be catching.
