Tyler Sash, SS, Iowa State
The Lions continue to add pieces to a puzzle they hope results in a playoff push in 2011. With their first and second round selections, the Lions beefed up their o-line and d-line respectively. Aside from improving the trenches, the Lions have a glaring weakness in the secondary highlighted by a lack of playmakers and aggressiveness. Louis Delmas has had a nice couple of seasons at safety, but he needs help.
Enter Tyler Sash. The University of Iowa SS will bring a much needed attitude to the Lions' secondary. Sash's skill set will compliment well with Delmas' ballhawking skills. Sash is an aggressive, physical safety who is very effective in run support and more than capable in pass coverage. His addition will help shore up a very weak area for the Lions.
