The Tennessee Titans have made two solids picks so far, that bring immediate help to the football team in Cam Newton and Marvin Austin. By addressing two major needs, they feel its time to roll the dice and take a small risk on a player from a small school with a lot of upside. Staying in Tennessee, the Titans select Buster Skrine. A two-time first-team All-Southern Conference selection, Buster Skrine has not only the best name in the draft, but also the best unofficial 40 yard dash time, which is almost as important as the best official 40 yard dash time. Skrine impressed scouts at the combine with a 4.29 forty, and like they say, you cant teach speed. Skrine may not be a shutdown corner, but he has the burst and instincts to make plays on the football field. The only knock on Buster is his size. However, as long as he doesn’t lose any of his speed or quickness, look for him to be a contributing corner for years to come.
