Ricky Stanzi, QB, Iowa

Chad Henne isn't good. Don't get me wrong, I don't think Chad Henne is necessarily bad, either. I just think Chad Henne is just eh.... or maybe it's bla... yeah, Chad Henne is bla. Last year, he threw for 3,301 yards for 15 touchdowns and 19 interception and led the Dolphins to a bla record of 7-9. I don't really think that the Dolphins can really plan on being anything more than bla as long as they have an eh quarterback calling the shots. That's why I've decided to select Iowa's Ricky Stanzi with the Dolphin's third-round pick.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Stanzi is a starter right out of college either, but I do think Stanzi can compete for the job. If he wins it, great, you're not going to be any worse than you were the year before. If he doesn't win the starting job, then you have a backup for 2011 and possibly the new starter in 2012. Henne's been in the league just long enough to possibly impart some wisdom to the young Iowa Quarterback and show him what's what. Eventually, Henne could become what he was probably better suited to be all along, a backup... where it's okay to be eh or bla.
