With the No. 83 pick in the 2011 Cincy Jungle Mock Draft, the New York Giants select...
Dontay Moch, OLB, Nevada
You can never have too many linebackers... right?! Ideally, this selection would have gone towards an offensive lineman, but according to rankings, there's not one left in sight of pick 83, and I'm not about to start reaching in this draft. With RB and OLB already selected, and no obvious position of need within reach, I decided to go with one of the highest potential players in the draft. Moch, is another LB with good size and a blazing fast speed with 4.4 forty, and at the very least should be able to learn quickly on special teams, and hopefully work his way into the starting lineup. The Giants are a good team in pass defense and run defense, so a luxury pick is ok here.
If you're still not convinced that drafting two outside linebackers in one draft is a good idea, I have two words for you. Michael Vick. Drafting a speedster who can run down this guy on the outside is not a bad idea. Plus, this pick turns a potential area of weakness into an area of strength for a team that is already strong defensively. Any other pick here would be for depth, and Dontay Moch at the very least is gonna sell jersey's because he has a cool last name. Plus think of all the nicknames, oneliners, and/or headlines Giants fans, broadcasters, and writers can give Moch. Anytime he is in pursuit they can say, "Moch 1, Moch 2, MOCH 3 TACKLE FOR A LOSS!"Dontay Moch Highlights:
