Austin Pettis, WR, Boise State

I wanted to make a safer pick here and go with O-Line as the Falcons could surely use some help there in the very near future, but since I am the "GM" of the Falcons currently, I decided to pick another skill position. Roddy White needs a wingman, and in steps the 6-3 210lbs Pettis from Boise St. He’s not a burner and won’t be much of a vertical threat, but doesn’t have to be w/ Roddy doing his thing. Pettis will be used across the middle on short and intermediate routes, sucking defenders away from Roddy. The thinking behind this is that he could potentially be a TE playing WR, or even move to TE if his blocking developes, letting Gonzo become his ‘mentor’ wouldn’t be a bad thing….
