NFL Draft 2011: Former Scout Believes Cincinnati Will Select A.J. Green

Former scout Charles Fisher, who was also drafted by the Bengals in the second round of the 1999 NFL Draft, believes that the Cincinnati Bengals will draft Georgia wide receiver A.J. Green during the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft.

"I think A.J. Green is absolutely a good fit for the Bengals," Fisher said.

"His hands are professional. There's no drops," Fisher said. "(Terrell Owens) had a couple drops this year. This guy doesn't drop the ball like that. When the balls are in the air, they're in his mitts."

Fisher, also a former scout with the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers, won the starting job at cornerback with Cincinnati as a rookie in 1999 after the team released Corey Sawyer.

Unfortunately, 12 plays into the regular season, Fisher tore the MCL, ACL and PCL in his knee while trying to cover Titans wide receiver Kevin Dyson. Fisher was never the same and was released by the Bengals in 2001, taking on a new career in the player personnel department.
