Ben Ijalana - OT/G - Villanova

After going defense in round one with Adrian Clayborn. The Ravens chose to address the offensive side of the ball with their next pick. The first target position was wide receiver. After a run of receivers in the second round, the Ravens are left with either reaching for one or drafting the next best player. I choose the latter and decided to help protect Joe Flacco with. OT/G Ben Ijalana from Villanova.

Ben Ijalana played at a small school so it's no surprise that he's still available this late in round two. He had double hernia surgery this off season. So his stock might be a little lower than it should be. Either way, Iljalana is a great value pick at this point. He's my #2 guard and #6 offensive tackle in this draft. He played left tackle in college, but could be even better kicking inside to guard in the NFL. The Ravens could use help at both spots. So this gives Ijalana a greater chance to find his best position to succeed. The Ravens arguably have the best offensive line in the AFC North and this just helps them build upon it.
