Gus Johnson Leaves CBS For Fox

"CBS declined to match Fox's offer," an industry source said Monday night. "They let Johnson's people know today."

Notably featured locally in a horrifying ending to the Bengals season premiere during the team's 13-7 loss to the Denver Broncos in 2009, Johnson is noted for his, how should we say this, ridiculous overreactions during exciting moments in games. According to Raissman, who according to a "source" says that some of "CBS Sports' college hoops voices were no thrilled with Johnson's rise to March Madness' most popular voice."

Suggestion for those that weren't thrilled with Johnson's rise? Start shouting at moments in the game. They don't even have to be key moments. Hell, they don't actually have to be playing the game. But shout, really loud. Someone sinks a three, yell about it. Someone picks off a pass, yell about it. A pitcher throws a strike, give Tim McCarver a stroke. Someone picks up over ten yards on the ground during mop-up duty at the end of a game with a 30-point differential, shout, scream, yell, make sure everyone else totally feels your electric excitement. A kitten on the side of the road. Shout.

Now that Johnson is moving to Fox, it will mean less Bengals games because Fox covers only NFC contents, or games between the AFC and NFC if the AFC team is playing at home.
