"Next maybe he'll be snake wrangler and we can all watch to see if he gets bit or something," Brown said. "I don't know. He's always up to some stunt. They amuse me in a way and yet they concern me because, let's face it, as we look at it we want a football player. We aren't looking for a bull rider or a dancer, or a soccer player. We want a football player. It's simple. That's where we want the focus. Not on other things."
- Mike Brown (May 24, 2011)
From Brown's quote, the idea was planted. Two words were filtered into the mind of the Chad Ochocinco. Snake Wrangling, which is basically capturing wild snakes unharmed. The one-upmanship announced, until it was decided he wouldn't.
Rather he's ditching snake wrangling for a bigger class of reptilia.
Alligators.
"In Okeechobee I am wrestling alligators. Actually, catching them in the wild, which is going to be really interesting, I am catching them in the wild," Ochocinco said, following a training session with the University of Cincinnati.
"Don't laugh, like I am serious and you'll see it. And I am living life."
And if he loses an arm?
"If he bites me, I can still play with one arm (because) I can kick, seriously."
