According to the Argus Leader, South Dakota State University offensive lineman Ryan McKnight has signed with the Cincinnati Bengals. McKnight measures in at 6'1 and 295 pounds. He is a versatile offensive lineman who made the switch to offensive center during his senior year and ended up being named a 2010 Walter Camp Football Championship Subdivision All-American as well as to the All-Missouri Valley Football Conference first team.
McKnight was accomplished in the classroom as well, earning the Missouri Valley Football Conference Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award. He was also named to the Missouri Valley Football Conference Honor Roll.
If nothing else, McKnight provides Bengals offensive line coach Paul Alexander another tough, smart and hardworking young man for him to work with during training camp.
McKnight is the second South Dakota State University Jackrabbit to sign with the Bengals this off-season as an undrafted collegiate free-agent. He will join his former teammate, tight end Colin Cochart, who signed with the Bengals earlier this week, at Georgetown this weekend.
