Bengals Agreed To Terms With Offensive Guard Deuce Lutui

New, comments

According to Geoff Hobson (who writes according to his agent), the Cincinnati Bengals have signed Arizona Cardinals offensive guard Deuce Lutui. The deal, Hobson tweets, is a two-year deal.

Agent for Cardinals G Deuce Lutui says reached 2-year deal in principle with Bengals. 2nd-round pick out of USC. Big, physical AFC North guyless than a minute ago via web Favorite Retweet Reply

A second-round draft pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, Deuce Lutui, standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing in at 340 pounds, started 63 of the team's 64 previous four games from 2007 through the 2010 season. Lutui, likely a good backup guard to Bobbie Williams (did you note the size I purposely referenced earlier), made most of his starts at right guard with the Cardinals.

According to Pro Football Focus, Lutui graded as the team's worst run blocker with a grade of -14.3 in 2010. Before your head drops onto the table, it actually gets better. In 2009 Lutui graded as the team's best run blocker with a score of 6.9 and his overall grade rated as the team's fourth-best offensive player.
