Bengals kicker Mike Nugent looks to be recovering nicely from a torn ACL that he suffered during an onside kick against the Indianapolis Colts last season. According to Geoff Hobson, head coach Marvin Lewis has seen enough of Nugent so far in camp to like what he sees.

Nugent, after converting kicks from distances of 32, 36 and 44 yards, said he feels like all his strength is pretty much back. "Feels like last camp," Nugent Said. "The key is how does it feel tomorrow". During an off-season with so much uncertainty, a healthy Nugent would alleviate some of the anxiety with regards to special teams, showing (at times) to be a fairly reliable kicker with the ability to hit long field goals.
Rookie kicker Thomas Weber, out of Arizona State, also went three for three, albeit from shorter distances than Nugent.
