Contrary to multiple sources stating that he's retired, former Bengals tight end Reggie Kelly hasn't decided to retire. Through his Twitter account on Thursday, Kelly tweeted:
Some of the info u heard concerning me, the Steelers & retiring are not true. I am excited about the future. Thanks 2 all my Who Dey fans.
At last report Reggie Kelly visited the Pittsburgh Steelers at St. Vincent College, where they're holding training camp this year. Kelly reportedly left without signing a contract, around the same time that reports surfaced that Kelly decided to retire.
Second-year tight end Jermaine Gresham praised Kelly for his mentorship and professionalism.
"(Kelly) taught me how to be a professional. Everything about being a pro on and off the field, how to take care of yourself, how to take care of your body. Being a man. He taught me a lot that one year."
